Do You Have or Are you a GOOD BOSS ?

Have you ever watched "Undercover Boss"? This is such a reality show from United States, telling about the Boss, the REAL Boss to go undercover and attempt to find out what is going on to his front-liner staff. This show is totally true to keep the Boss feeling how he should establish a new business or employment policy that is match to the business style, and especially, the employee.

Well, anyway I'm not promoting this kind of show. But I am here to give another perception on becoming a boss. How to become a probably good Boss. I'm not a Boss currently, and I hope to be a good Boss when a chance is given to me.
I have been worked to some companies during past three years. Let me describe one-by-one:

First
The major shareholder has over the limit himself to intervene all the particular things in the company. Directors and Mangers are like a doll that can do nothing in front of him. We, the staff, acknowledged that he has a concern to us as well. During the economic recession of the country, we received a subsidy to help us battle the bad situation.
Another shareholder, not a major, is such a perfectionist. A simple mistake can become a company-quake. All the staff under his supervision work under-pressure, not to give the best, but trying to at least not to make a mistake.

Second
A very rich man, has made himself extremely busy. Even named himself as 24/7 ready. Crazy over the business, using his own business instinct to develop a new one. So busy he is, left him no time even to think about the staff. Even breaking the law can become an option for him. One thing, pressing staff, and rising money are the only target. Anyway, I worked for only one week there, so lucky.

Third
A worldwide network company, has delegated one of the experienced man to handle the branch where the country I stay in. Working with him, is just like having a baby. Everyday he shouts, just to call his staff to come to his room, or only to ask the unnecessary thing. The bad financial situation, not making him work and think harder to solve the thing, but left him in a very good environment where all high-end facility keep going to him. Since he took over the previous Boss, there is no increase in volume of business. On the other side, the expenses has increased to pay his facility. Eventually, many staffs can't stand and decided to leave, included me.

Present
This Boss could be one of the best Boss I ever met. He treats the staff very well. Blend with all the staff, never underestimate people, have an ability to speak politely, and the most important is, he has a HEART.
Once upon a time, he's ever said to me,

"for me, the most important is you all are comfort to work with me".

Among four short and simple experiences working in companies, I tried to sort out ONE thing.
It is HEART.
Yes, the KEY is HEART.
When you have a HEART, you will be able to LEAD PEOPLE;
with an adequate BRAIN, it's gonna be a PERFECT BOSS.

This is such a sharing, there is no intention to become a Guru, Master, or Motivator.

Have a nice weekend everybody...!!!
